The Amboy Side Table is made with pressure treated prime grade southern yellow pine to provide optimum strength and appearance on any outdoor project left exposed to the elements. This treated lumber is safe around pets, playsets, and vegetable gardens. AC2® treated lumber can be painted or stained to match any existing project after one year. To expose the wood with many natural unique characteristics and properties the furniture is finished with wood burning technique that provides additional weatherproof.

Wood burning technique originated in 18th century Japan,  shou  sugi ban is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire in order to weatherproof it.
